Arangetram

                      This is after a long time I am writing on the blog, as I was busy with my Arangetram. I would like to share a few experiences. Arangetram is organized by a dance teacher when she holds complete confidence in her student. When, her student has completed her jr.course, she can dance gracefully and not only perform all by herself or choreograph her own steps but also teach others. It was an honor for me to perform in front of my teacher, her guru, other jury members and my well-wishers and my very best friends.

                     However at first during practice we were not very serious. But when the countdown begun we became hell serious! Our teachers Guru arrived. She happened to be a pleasant and calm lady (which was least expected by us).she came from Kerla and did not understand Hindi or English! She only spoke Malayalam. We thought it would be difficult communicating with her. But we were wrong! In order to correct our every small mistake or error or even to appreciate our dancing skills she use to do only one thing, i.e.to enact it. Her body language, her expressions her mudras(gestures) were enough for us to understand. We had no language barrier between us.we actually spoke to each other through dance, the common language we all knew!

                       I want to thank her as she came all the way from Kerla. A few months back her son had an unfortunate accident and has been in coma since then! Yet she came to help us, guide us righteously.As I mentioned before she is not very good in speaking English and, yet she by hearted a speech the previous night and delivered it with confidence the following day.

                       Also I want to thank all the people who spared some time out of their busy schedules and attended my program to encourage me. Their mere presence gave a boost to my confidence (as u get badly nervous on the stage!) And my apologies to the rest of the people as I couldn't invite them to the program due to limited passes.

 जेव्हा मागच्या वेळेस मुलांना नेताना जो आनंद मिळाला होता ,तो त्या त्या झाडाखाली गेल्यावर त्या त्या मुलांच्या
अनेक गोष्टी आठवल्या ,त्याच बरोबर मुलांना किती व कोणती  माहिती द्यायची याचेही भान ठेवावे लागले ,खूप गोष्टी शिकायला मिळाल्या ,

My Annual Day

We had our Annual Day held on the 1st and the 2nd of Feb.It was extremely interesting.Our theme this year was on Sportsmanspirit. We showed that an athelete was withdrawing himself from the national Olympic team just for an issue over sponsorship money.His coach explains to him that sports are not for money,but for the spirit of the game.To explain that, the coach tells him how the Olympics began.He told that Olympics started in Greece because of the God Zeus.The fighting between all states had to banned.The messenger of Gods told his.I played a small role of this messenger.The story revolves around Zeus and Hades,Zeus's younge brotherwho is the Devil God.He tries to cancel the Olympic games.But Zeus does not let this happen.And atlast the Athelete understands and accepts his mistake.It was an extremely inspiring story.

पत्रास  कारण  की  मुलांच्या  बद्दलच्या  काही  गोष्टी  शेयर  कराव्याश्या  वाटत होत्या   हर्षाला  तिचा  वाढदिवस शाळेत  साजरा  करायचा  होता व त्यासाठी  काय  काय  लागतं  त्या  गोष्टींची  यादी  तिनेच  मला  करून  दिली  अगदी  जुजबी  म्हणजे  मैत्रिणींसाठी  चॉकलेट्स ,  टीचर्साठी  कैडबरी , एक गळ्यालं  पेंडंट  आणि  काजळ,  अगदि  आधी  म्हणजे  सहा  महिन्यांपूर्वी  एक  फ्रॉक  आणलेला  व  तो  तिने  खूपच  कमी वेळा   वापरलेला  होता  तेंव्हा  तिला  तोच  घालायचा  होता,   कानातले  आधी  होते  तेच  आणि  डोळ्यात  अगदी  कोपऱ्यात काजळ.  नविन  कपडे  घ्यायचा  सर्व  नविन  मैचिंग  गोष्टी  घ्यायच्या  हा  मोहही  तिला  झाला  नव्हता  कारण  तिला  चांगल  तिच्या  बेस्ट  जजमेंटने  दिसायच  होतं.  मी  सजेस्ट  केलेल  पेंडंट  तिने  लगेचच  अप्प्रूव  केल  पण   सगळच  नविन  काही  घ्यायच  नाही  व  जे  आहे  त्यात  छान  दिसायच  हे  ति ला  कस  काय क्लिअरली  वाटत  हे  मोठच  गौड़बंगाल  आहे.  ही  तिची  स्वतः च्या  apearance  बद्दलची  क्लियर  आइडिया माझ्या  मनाला  हुरळवून  गेली.     दूसर  म्हणजे   फेसबुक  हे waste of  time  हे मी  तिला  एकदा  माझ  अकाउंट ओपन  करशील  का हे  तिने   विचारल्यावर  सांगितलं  आणि  त्यानंतर   तिने  कधीही  मागे धोशा  लावला  नाही . माझ्या  मैत्रिणी  मला  म्हणतात  की  .. शी  .. हे  काय  तू  फेसबूकवर  कशी   नाहीयेस .. पण  तिने  कधीच  त्यावर  काहीतरी  कमी  आहे  अस  स्वतःला  जाणवू  दिल  नाही  she is  fine without facebook in her  life .  हो  ती कंप्यूटर  बघते  पण  आपला  ब्लॉग  किंवा  तिच्या  आवडत्या  देशाबद्दलची  माहिती  किंवा  त्यांच्या   भाषेत  काही  वाक्य  कशी  बोलतात  हे जाणून  घ्यायचा  प्रयत्न  करते  किंवा  तिच्या  आवडत्या  कुकरी  शोबद्दलची  माहिती  किंवा  शाळएच्या  प्रोजेक्ट  बद्दलची  माहिती  ती  बघत  असते .  प्रवाहात  फरफटत  न  जाण्याच्या  तिच्या  वागण्याने   तिला  बराच  पल्ला  बऱ्याच  गोष्टींमध्ये  गाठायचा  आहे  पण  जि थल्या  तिथे  विचार  करण्याची  पद्धत  बघून  तिने  या  पल्ल्यावर  उभ  रहायची  किंवा  स्टांस  घ्यायची  सुरुवात केलीये  अस  वाटतं.

राहुल  बद्दलचा  एक  प्रसंग  असा  की  रविवारी  चॉकलेट  खायच्या  दिवशी  दोघांनाही  त्यांच्या  आवडीच  चॉकलेट  किंवा  आणखी  काही  खायच  असत  त्याबद्दल  बजेट  ठरलय  प्रत्येकी  30 रुपये .  एक  दिवस राहुलने  सांगितल  आम्हाला  केकपण  खायचा  आहे  मला  अजून  पैसे  दे .  मी  मनाशी  म्हटल  दर  रविवारी  चॉकलेटसाठी  पैसे  आणि  आता  काय  तर केक साठी   अजून  पैसे अगदी  हक्काने  मागतोय  , अशाने  आपण  त्यांना  बिघडवतं  तर  नाही  ना !  पण  दोन  दिवसांपूर्वी  केक  आणायला  हो  म्हटलेल  म्हणून  दिले  पैसे .  हर्षाने  स्वतःसाठी  केक  नको  तर  डोनट  घेऊन  ये  संगितल .  घरी  आल्यावर  त्याने  दिदिचा  डोनट  दिला  व  दुसरया  हातात  पेडिग्रीच  अर्ध  पाकिट  दाखवत  म्हणाला  पुढच्या  रविवारचे  माझे  चॉकलेटचे  पैसे  देऊ  नकोस .  अस  का  हे विचारताच  म्हणाला  रस्त्यात  अगदि  रोडावलेल   कुत्र्याच  पिल्लू   भुकेने  कासावीस  होउन  कचरयात   पडलेल  फड़क  खात  होत   मग  त्याच्यासाठी   पेडिग्री  घेतल  आणि  त्याचे  पैसे  केकपेक्षा   खूप  जास्त  होते  म्हणून   पुढल्या   रविवारी   माझे   चॉकलेटचे   पैसे   देऊ   नकोस  मग   पुढे  म्हणाला  ते पिल्लू  आधी  घाबरून   काही   खाताच   नव्हत  पण   नंतर   पटापट   संपवायला   लागल   आणि   मम्मा  मला   खूपच   बरं   वाटलं ....आणि   माझा   मुलगा   आवडीचा  खाऊ   खाऊन   कसा   तृप्त   दिसला   असता   तसा   दिसत   होता .

पैसे   देताना   मनात   संशय   आणणारी   मी   त्याच्या   या   वागण्यामुळे   मी  मला   खूप   छोटी   वाटले   व   तो   खूप   मोठा .

  ......खूप   मोठ   बोलल्याच  होतय   पण   लोणी   खाल्लस   काय   म्हणून  संशय   घेता च  आ   वासून    विश्वदर्शन   देणारया  यशोदेला   काहीस   असच   वाटल   असाव .

Indian Republic Day

 Happy Republic Day to all.Sorry for not writing for a long time.
     I have seen this many times that people often take country for granted. They never feel proud of their country nor do they feel any need to work on betterment of our country.Many leave the country after their education in search of greener pastures while many just keep criticizing the country for not improving.This is wrong according to me as after using all the cheap education the country offers you ,you leave it just for the case of better packages?Though nowadays I have found a new species of people, who dont even consider the country as a part of their life.
     We are often told that duty comes first, the n country and then other things like community,family and finally us.But nowadays there is duty,community and family but the country goes missing. During recent horrific cases, there was much debate on the comments made by some people, but there were little discussions about the solutions for it or how is it defaming our country. Even during and after 26/11 attacks there was much fight about whether or not hang Kasab but very few uttered about betterment of our security.There is much pomp and celebration during festivals like Ganapati,Eid or even Christmas.But today on our republic day there are very few societies who celebrate this.Even today we are afraid of going to some regions of other communities. Even today caste is a major issue in India.Even today many suffer due to regional,linguistic and caste discrimination.While some dont give this a damn but it is a major issue,sometimes bigger than terrorism and corruption for our country, India,Bharat ,Hindusthan or whatever you feel right way to call it.I know just one thing that this was the place where one of the first known civilization was formed and today in this same country we are no near to that civilization let alone a country.
       So on our Republic Day we must seriously consider that do we follow Liberalism and Secularism in the Biggest Democracy of the world?

Not Caste Discrimation,But Animal Discrimation

Hi Friends!This is my first blog.It's about my atricle published in the greenline magzine.Greenline magzine is a movement by Greenline Group. It's about the 'keep your own city clean' movement.They tell us various ways and measures not only to keep Mumbai clean but also they also look after matters related to flora and fauna.This time they had told us to write an article or poem or a poster related to flora and fauna.I would like to share that article of mine.
                                 Oh Lord! Give us Brains
Friends we often underestimate animals which we should not do.We say that ,"Service  to mankind is service to God".But we tend to forget that animals also deserve our help.Some have pets. But most of them don't keep pets to take care of them but for their own greed.One keeps dogs for house guarding.This was just an example.We should look after animals with utmost care.If we cannot take care of them,or not help them,we should atleast not harm them or trouble them.When a dog barks at us we just say,"Shoo!".But do we ever think that how bad that dog will feel.We say that we want a peaceful land to live in.But we always forget that without animals, no land is peaceful.When we pray, we should pray,"Oh Lord!give us brains.Give us brains so that we may not harm any animal and help them for the indirect,but relentlees help they render to us."Let us owe to help atleast 10 animals in our whole lifetime.

Lovely Pack!

I had missed Lata aaji's lecture on Padgaonkar and was feeling bad about it. Thanks to our group for the CDs- Apapale JeevanGane and Bolgani. We listened both the CDs. And listened to it repeatedly. It is a pack of many lessons to live life... live life Anandmeva style... and love life like Lata aaji and Mangesh Padgaonkar. Very much touched ! Thanks Lata aaji for such a lovely treasure of philosophical thoughts for us!!

Musafir and Shidori
Recently me and Mallika read Musafir- Autobiography of Achyut Godbole. It is great, inspiring book. Do read.
Also we saw a performance named `Shidori'. It is a literary stage-show where some quality poems and stories were read by Spruha Joshi and Abhijit Khandkekar. Both of them read very intensely and effectively. Listening to Katha of Di. Ba. Mokashi from Abhijit Khandkekar was a wonderful experience. Also some unconventional songs of Kavivarya Mangesh Padgaonkar, Pu. Shi. rege, Shanta Shelke, Vasant Bapat, Dasoo Vaidya were sung. The programme was unique.

In Time

   Sorry for the delay. This trip, from the start till the end had lot of surprises for us and, luckily our jeep was always in time to witness those. With the animals pulling on a new coat of fur (feathers for birds) to protect themselves from the stinging cold,looked all the more better. Not too happy with the first safari as we hardly found anything but maybe, more than that I wasnt happy with he cold. Well the temp was in single digit.

   But on the second one we were in time to hear a langoor calling out to alert his kin and the others about a leopard's presence which soon crossed the road,with the satisfaction of finding one the cold vanished. On the second safari we were almost in time to find a Tiger stride off with its pride and never even taking our notice,and before it we were again in time to spot a barsingha whose numbers were the major concern until kanha was declared as a national park.  All the credits of being in time goes to our guides.

My Beautiful year end memory

Hello Friends,

I would like to share one of my finest memory in the recent time and that was visit to Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum end of December 2012. I am attaching few images where me and Mahek enjoyed watching these beautiful rangolis.

But the most memorable thing for me was getting a chance to see and listen Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Vivek Phansalkar's speech. I actually followed just few minutes of his speech but most of the time i enjoyed watching him talk, his personality and the way he was talking to all. Later I spoke lot about him and our police service with Baba and realised the hard work and devotion in this service which he wanted me to see and understand as most of the time I talk to him about IPS.
