A Meet of Teenagers
With no Shibir in April, most of us teenagers won't meet each other for a whole month.
But I thought, that we teenagers can meet each other in this month by ourselves. We can decide a simple topic and can have it for discussion. Place can be decided and so can be day.It would be great. Those of you who liked the idea and would like to come can comment on this post and we can chalk out the date suitable for all of us

He is also not ready to accept it.It shows that children are so innocent and possitive.
I would like to thanks my parents who are very cultured. once again thank you Om,Sarvesh and Aparna, and I always feel that I am so lucky to have such good husband, loving mom in law, caring sister in law, loving son and loving families of Anandmeva.

HI EVERYONE ,OM VAKNALLI HERE,
Sorry for not contributing since a really really long time! I know that even out of my busy schedule, I need to take out time for this really essential task of blogging on Chequebook. Again really sorry!!
During this time period I have been witness to a whole range of happenings on my side. I would like to share some of the significant ones with you all in my upcoming posts.
The BIG Drama..........
Me and acting, yes quite possible. Though not a lead one, I might satisfy the needs of an accompaniment.
This is what exactly i did in our lovely school,TRIDHA. Though most of you must have heard about it from me or Omkar Khache,we have never formally introduced our school on chequebook.
So, ......where to start?!! It is an IGCSE board school in Andheri E . Our school believes in variations and diff. colours that add a spectrum of elements in our lives. So if you look at the school, it is simply full of colours; from the building ,students ,teachers ,their ways of teaching and ours of learning, all of this is always varying. There is no structured monotony in the school.
Actually I could write a whole blog about it,but my main focus now is the drama.(in case if you want to know more about it ,you'll are free to talk to me or Omkar dada)
So as every school has their annual days, we too have them in Primary (1st to 6th). But every year the big focus is the Class VIII Drama. I had been looking forward for it ever since I had joined Tridha.
It is special because we have to perform a 3 HOUR DRAMA nonstop. We have a 2 hour class for it in class8 where the school teaches us how to act out different emotions and takes us to watch several plays. Then the teacher decides a drama from the past, writes the script and we have to enact it.
The aim of class VIII play is to make the children responsible. Here we had freedom to decide our costumes, the props, the stage, the dialogues; almost everything. It is almost a 2 months project.
Unfortunately this year we had a time duration of only 3weeks to perform the drama.
The story this year was a combination of 2 dramas linked together; as we had shortage of roles. First was the Greek play called "OEDIPUS REX" by Sophocles which is quite ancient and the second was Henrik Ibsen's "STOCKMANN ; THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE" from the 1800s. Both the plays had no similarities except that both were individual fights for Truth. This was another challenge we faced, as both were written in contrast time periods.
We were really inquisitive to know our roles which were to be given by next week looking at our personality and acting. I, having no experience of wearing a mask, was sure to get some good ,side role. BUT what came to my fate was completely unexpected. I had been allotted the role of a major villain. My heart skipped a beat when I heard this. The character was of a rich, arrogant, higher class Mayor; who was concerned about himself and his money. It was a real challenge to play the role and rather much more fun. Our teacher only instructed us to imagine the character, feel it in your self and act it out. I tried putting my best in the role; walked and talked in real life like the character. And indeed it made my performance better on stage as I had been comfortable wearing the mask till then. One of the props I used during the play, was my Aaji's wooden stick. The moment our teacher told me, I was going to need a stick; the first picture that came to my mind was Aaji's stick. During the practice and the actual play, it completed my character and turned as a blessing for me.I always had faith that she was watching my play from above.
After the play we went to Ajoba's house to meet him & return the stick. He was very happy to see me in my three piece suit and make up.
The drama was good on the final day although we faced quite a lot of difficulties with the sound and our dialogues as we didn't have enough practice with them. Overall the experience taught me that being someone else is as complex as being yourself.

Hey you Humans, Stop cutting Mangroves!!!
We say we need to protect ourselves from natural disasters like tsunamis, floods, draughts, etc. But what measures as an individual have we taken so far to protect ourselves? Nothing at all!
If we really do care about our well-being, then we can start by protecting what is already there with us..
And those are the Mangroves!
Sadly, man has been destroying these precious gifts from nature in the name of development and greed. Most of us must have heard of a quote that goes like, “God helps those who help themselves”. The same can be applied to our present situation. If we can plant, protect and save the remaining mangroves today, very soon a day will come when the mangroves will return their favor by providing us with the much needed protection from natural disasters like tsu-nami and floods. Sometimes we cut the mangroves because we think that these precious plants are of no use. But sur-prisingly, the fact is that they are one of the most beneficial organisms as they also help us by restricting the salt water from entering our city areas and thus protecting Mumbai.
The cutting of mangroves should be stopped or we might have to face the wrath of either God or Nature very soon. The wrath of God can come in the form of a punishment and the wrath of nature can come in the form of natural dis-asters..
And all this might happen only because of a very crucial and important element or organism missing from the environ-ment. So lets protect the mangroves before its too late, for nature and ourselves!
