On the other side

Honestly I dont know how to start. But then I have to start,so I am starting. Every 12th grade has a europe trip, and this time it was our turn. We were a class of 14 accompanied by three teachers. Including our principal,Patrick sir. He is was our sole translator when it came to finding our way about Paris. Theres so much to tell about him.
here he is
We reached Paris at 6 in the morning, our sleepiness was soon left behind,as we stared in disbelief around us. The whole class shared, the disbelief on being on the other side. Staying at a hotel in part of Paris called port de bagnolet, not so glamorous part, was quiet and gloomy, never the less,it had its images printed in our minds. Every morning we would go to the nearest metro station and catch a metro, get of at the juntion, catch another one... until we reached where we wanted to. Armed with the metro map,the excitement of figuring our own way out, while sir just observed and asked Us where to go,with his occasional help we would eventually find our way out. At the end of one day, this was so normal,we travelled like locals around.

The importance Paris gives to dressing is absurdly surprising. Everyone looks better dresses than the other,as if they are dressed for something. But in a way it does keep you neat. Hell lot of shops selling all kinds of stuff, that is supposed to be fashionable, lined streets near heritage sites. everyone had their own styles of dressing, some overdressed but no one under dressed.

Walking is the best thing to do in Paris,or at least i think so. The vintage feel never leaves you. Every street has a story to tell, an impression it casts over you, makes you experience much more. So we did lot of walking around through the streets.
Another thing that strikes about Paris is the amount of activity. You could see people rushing about, the traffic alright, but there are lot of street shows. Musicians playing, dancers, stuntmen showing their moves, and comedians making laugh. The whole atmosphere is lively and with all the people enjoying around you,u cant help but smile. Even occasionally in metro stations you could hear a distant moan of a cello, the city wont let you down.
Monamarte

Given we had to mostly eat different kinds of breads and cheeses i never saw or tasted. It did not any time at all to get used to it,and the cheese helped in keeping warm. For like the first 3 days the weather was gloomy, when it rained the tempreture dropped,so whenever the sun shone, basking would be the best thing to do.
On i guess the third day,Sir took us to a jazz club. A band was playing, everyone were already engrossed in dancing. It was the first time I ever went into a jazz club, and our whole class danced including the teachers.
The day we saw eiffel tower the most obvious thing to see in paris,it was as if all that desire to see it had been let out. Once you reach the platform, you could see it loom in front of you. It gets bigger and makes you feel really small.

guess what??

After 6 days of paris we left for freiberg. Changed our trains ar basel, and the excitment of our unknown hosts had made everyone squeaky, hormonal and jittery. So after 45 mins of waiting impatiently at we got our hosts. I was sharing the space with my classmate,it was two to every host. I liked freiberg the most, because of the easy going people and forest that surrounded the town. Apart from visitng their school, and sitting for their classes(as it was a kind of student exchange),i used to cycle, though the forest and the city.It did give me a nice view of the city. Our host was a circus teacher from the school. Her name,Isabelle, she had two daughters isya and natalie who were in class 2 and 4. I got the experice of playing the double bass there. They all played more than one instrument, which obviously had her husband and me jammimg. The city unlike paris is not too big, cycling being like the most important mode of transport after trams,i used the cycle. The best part in europe was that we travelled just like the people there, used trams and buses.
The best things outling the trip was when my friend AND ME GOT LOST IN PARIS. Only to find our class searching for us at the metro station. Also navigation was exciting, especially with the tram maps in freiburg.
There is a lot more,i could just talk about it
