New Home

Last week was an eventful one.Packing our stuff in boxes, taking them to our new residence. The Packers and Movers took only a day to move all furniture and boxes but the later work of arranging all the things was a tedious process (not for me actually as Manava and Aai did most of the work). Now settled(Still no TV though) I finally have internet to write this post. So hi friends.Wassup? College has started and so has the full time classes after a small break I am back in routine. Though this routine will be short lived as I am going to Delhi on 27th. Many would be knowing that I was going to Uttarakhand for a German camp but due to rains in northern Uttarakhand, the camp was shifted near Delhi . Talking about new home- it is in vile parle, bigger than one before and very near to my college. So near that in fact I can come home during free lectures. On the down side I can't give the excuse of getting bored to go all the way to college walking. While it will take time to adjust to new surroundings,I wish our stay of two and half years in this house be great . While Rain Gods have been showering their love for last two days,it has finally stopped raining. As not being a monsoon lover ,I would like that the love of these Gods be subdued for atleast two days(afterwards I wont be in Mumbai to care). While I will greet Shibirites with a new post when I return( dont worry it would be atleast one week before I would trouble you people with a post to read) , I would like if some teenagers to keep this blog busy with their posts. Maybe 10th passouts may share their experience(the good one not the studies) or some can share about a good poem like Divya did. Maybe some photos(two or three, as my finger aches by scrolling down and down) or maybe some random experience. In current state we ,the teenagers together are not even contributing one post a week so i would like if I see atleast two or three or even more posts before I come. Please Guys. Think it as an order if you like.Signing out

Television

Hi everybody,
We have a poem on television in English. Our teacher had given us an activity to compose a poem on our own. I want to share the poem which I have written -

                                          TeleVision

Who invented the Television?
It was such a great revolution
But little did the inventor know
That it’s addiction would bring people’s creativity low,
And make their thinking ability slow.

But it was an important invention,
And was a thoughtful creation.
But who knew that everyone would use it in the wrong direction?
Though it was invented with a good intention,
We forgot our limitation
And today it has become the major cause for parents going into depression.

We see children seeing television for hour after hour,
They miss the small joys of life like getting wet in a shower.
We don’t find children playing on the ground or playing hide & seek
And screaming, “Oh! I found!!”
Oh! Those lovely days are gone
Now we see couch potatoes gaping at the screen from midnight to dawn!!

My May vacation

Hi all,
I had wonderful vacation in May. Whole May I was not in Mumbai. On 1st May I reached Sweden. Where my baba is staying for a project. My aai was not with us, Because she had work of Wayam. So I went with my Rupali mavshi. She is our family friend. We were staying in ‘Sandviken’ one very tiny village. There was my baba’s office- Sandvik. That small town was awesome. It was self sufficient as there was huge ‘sandvik’ company.  We saw one copper mine there, that was functioning from 1600 to 1980. I also saw live soccer match there. In May at Sweden sun rises at 4 a.m. and sets at 9.30 p.m. So we had a long  day.
Sweden is one of the richest countries in the world. Population of Sweden is very less. So people have huge houses with backyards. Because of much Cattle raising activity, all milk items was very pure & best quality. Our apartment in Sweden was too small, still I liked it so much that I developed emotional bonding about that apartment. Sweden is very safe. Even after 10p.m. I could take walk alone around our house.  Swedish people are very friendly. I stayed in Sweden for 10 days.
On 10th day, we flew to Nethrlands, where Ashish kaka (Rupali mavashi’s husband) is staying. We were staying in Dan Hag city. In Netherlands I saw millions of tulips. When we were travelling by train we could see tulips like colourful piece of land. In netherlands water level is little bit up the land level. To avoid flooding Dutch govt. has made huge canals. So almost every family has its own boat to travel around. There were many windmills. They were very ancient. I saw one old, big castle in Netherlands. It has more than 200 rooms. In September Queen & her family lives there. In Netherlands people do much cycling. There are big cycle stands like our car parking areas.
Netherlands has more population than Sweden. Dutch people  are not as friendly as the Swedish. Weather of Netherland is very bad. It drizzles always. After drizzling weather becomes very chilled. Almost 3-4 degrees. And there wind flows are very strongly. I loved Sweden bit more than Netherlands.
After a vacation of 15 days I flew back to India alone. Rupali mavashi & her daughter stayed back in Netherlands. I wanted to go to Kashmir just after that, so I returned. Traveling alone by plane was a great experience for me. I gained much confidence because of traveling alone.
I returned back to Mumbai on 17th may. We had flight of Shrinagar on 18th May. We 6 families were together. Kasmir is very beautiful. We went to Pahalgam, Shrinagar & Gulmarg. In Shrinagar we stayed in a houseboat. We saw Chasmeshahi, Shalimar, Nishad gardens. There were very plenty of colorful roses. In Gulmarg We travelled by cable car (gondola).  We played in snow. In Pahalgam We did river rafting. It was thrilling experience. Kashmir is really a NANDANWAN.

Memorable trip

Hello friends !
this summer vacation we went to Uttarakhand . In Himalayas I went in search of butterfly  but I found only four butterflies . This butterfly is confined to the moist hilly forest of the Himalaya up to 8000 feet (c.2700m ) and cool moist forest of Western ghats . In the Himalayas it flies from may to October , and elsewhere all through the year . It visit flowers as well as damp patches . This butterfly is known as map butterfly because the map like markings on its wings. It's caterpillars feed on peepal , Banyan and other fig species .Then we went to Jim Corbett , I found  plain tiger in the forest .

The great Rickshawallas of Mumbai

We know that 'The customer is the king' is the motto of shopkeepers around the world but the same cannot be said about our Mumbai's Rickshawallas who always think that they are the king and we are the ones who need them. With need of rickshas more than their number and this attitude remaining constant in all of them these practices remain intact. We always have a spat with these rickshawallas over their refusal of taking us to our desired location. While price hikes of their fare being as common as that of petrol, their reluctance of going to places has been undiminished.
Many people have suggested using of cycles rather than rickshas but during our monsoons this suggestion goes down with rainwater. And while their need increases by large quantity, their attittude too increases. This means they prefer empty seats rather than going to waterlogged areas. Its a question how this does not trouble their family income but it does affect us while going to classes/schools/colleges/offices. Although its not tough to convince our teachers why we are late but it gets more and more frustrating to wait for the rickshas for 15 mins and then go walking where other cars are spraying water all around.
As asking for them to change will not make any difference and we will always need them to go from A to B we can just say ,"LONG LIVE THE RICKSHAWALLAS"

By the way, I would like to congratulate all the 12th std and 10th std pass outs for your great marks and would like to welcome the 10th passouts to the college club.
