Hello friends,

It’s been a long time since my last post on the chequebook. I would like to share an incident which happened last Sunday while we all were coming back to Mumbai from our village Nagar.

Few kilometers away from our village home there occurs a well known temple of “Hanuman” which lies in the middle of mountains. We always pay a visit in that temple while returning home. The location where the temple is placed is very dense. Several kinds of animals roam in that area. Leopards have also been found in that area, that’s what the local public says. But still, the pleasant climate is incomparable.
This time, when we visited there; we could hardly see any public there. At the entrance of the main mandir, there was an old lady who was just sitting there. Around her there were many cats, dogs and monkeys. She provides them with water during summers.
We went there, had Darshan , had some water and roamed here & there.  Feeling the nature.  There was a small little puppy, who was separated by its mother. It  was playing besides the old lady. Soon after that, Swayam started to play with it too.  We stopped there for almost 20 to 25 minutes. After some time we could see a black dog who was that old lady’s pet. That dog didn’t like the puppy to enter in his premise. Therefore it started to harm the puppy. Swayam got scared of that big dog and came running towards us. The old lady came to know something wrong was happening. Just to inspect she came outside and saw her dog harming that little puppy. She took a long stick and started to hit that dog  to stop everything. But still the dog could not control itself, it continued harming that puppy.  So there was only one way left to keep the puppy away from that dog. The old lady picked up the puppy and threw it off road below, which was at a considerable height. We could hear the voice of puppy crying. It was trying to come up again but the old lady started to throw stones over it.  She wasn’t allowing the puppy to come up as it was not her pet. It was separated.
This whole incident was observed by Swayam and he felt very bad for that puppy. He silently came to me & baba , and said,”tya aaji la kaahi kalat naahi kaay..??” .  He asked us to take that puppy home. But this was not possible. Then he gave us an idea to drop that puppy somewhere where there was no threat to its life. So we went down, took that puppy with us and started to move. Initially, it was uncomfortable and frightened due to that incident happened.  But after some time when it sat on Swayam’s lap, it became quiet. Swayam started talking to that puppy, and both were very comfortable with each other. After 2 to 3 kilometers, we dropped that puppy at a safe place where there was no danger to its life. We gave it something to eat and moved. But the puppy started running behind our car. Swayam felt more bad after seeing this, but could not help. He also kept the name of that puppy. The name was “JHIMPY” . hahahaha.. :-D
So this was the incident which I had to share with you friends. I hope you like it.. J J . J
