Reality Shows

Reality televisions frequently portrays a modified and highly influenced form of day to day life to attract the audience and increase the advertising revenue. The participants are persuaded to act in specific scripted ways by the producers or the editors with the portrayal of events and speech, manipulated to create an illusion.
Reality shows : we don't follow them on a regular basis as most of them are filled with dramas and fights. But watching a reality show during it's shooting is a good experience. We were fortunate enough to visit such a reality show called 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' (Marathi) as one of my Dad's patient was a member of that committee. So he offered us an invitation for the show and we readily accepted it.
When we reached there, we were shoked to see what all was happening. Before the show started, the host asked the audience to clap loudly and video recording of this applause was done. When we watched this show at home, we found that these recordings were inserted in between the two songs. During the shooting, whenever the participants used to sing very sad and emotional songs, the people present there including their family members used to enjoy the song and dance around merrily. But when we saw the same on the TV, they were sobbing and weeping for the same song. So contradictory!
Shows like Superstuds, V Steal Ur Girlfriend , Roadies on one hand and informative and knowledgeable shows like Satymev Jayte help us in becoming aware about modern day problems which our country is facing and to improve the condition of our country, todays youth must know about all what is happening. So it is in our hand to choose and see a proper reality show on a regular basis to widen our perspective.
