Why are we not Contributing in shibir while we understand the importance of the same.

Dear All,

I have been thinking very hard on our participation in shibir and contribution towards its multifaceted objectives. I feel all those parents who are associated with shibir for long time have actually contributed directly or indirectly, by just being there.

It is established beyond any doubt, that lataaji has given us wonderful platform and a perspective towards leading FULL life on various counts. All members of shibir are performing their small bit to make our close net group more cohesive and enrich it day by day.

Now the question comes, Why this topic If we are contributing?

I feel as under:

  1. we individually fall short of actions, expressions and deliverable on some counts. Hence we individually or collectively do not realize and act accordingly.
  2. We like to project brighter side of our individuality and in the hindsight do not realize the flip side of our actions on our group.
  3. We try to impress upon others about positives within us and do forget to work on our short comings. This means that the areas that we need to work on are actually not worked upon.
  4. We try not to attempt the improvement within us, and fear being ridiculed. (May be ego or lack of perseverance)
  5. We lack pro action and rely on reaction.
  6. We at times firmly believe that certain activities and fault finding is not applicable to me /us.
  7. We over think about possible reactions of people within shibir and are not confident of taking action. This leads to losing sight of objectives that we wish to achieve for self and for shibir.
  8. Lastly we inadvertently compare ourselves against benchmarks which are below standard levels (at times we do not have this yard stick) and establish that we are above them and hence we are OK.

  1. विचार आवडले. कृती काय? रिपाोर्ट लिहिल्यासारखी भाषा का? जरा हल्क्या भाषेत लिहा. बाोलता तसे लिहा अानंदराव. परिक्षेचा पेपर साोडवू नका. I liked point 2 & 3 very much.
